Back in the cold October breeze, 52 brave citizens of Copenhagen made a FlashMob for signing the Hopenhagen petition. Today when I was searching around the web I came by photos with Hopenhagen and the greenwashing of Coca Cola. These banners are hanging around the town and bringing attention to the big Hopenhagen live event that are ongoing at the same square where the Sunbathers was doing their stunt. When I went on youtube to see the sunbathing video I discovered a new flashmob from Syracuse in New York. It is a true copy and it´s great! bringing awareness to the main issue! – COP15 the meeting in Copenhagen and the importance of having a global agreement.

Here are the two videos!

How come that we at Kadaver choose to blog? What do we get out of it? and what do you get out of it?

Kadaver have now been blogging on this site for 3 weeks. During these 3 weeks we have made 10 posts, this is #11 and we have generated about 400 hits. In the statistics it shows that the different hits are coming from various links and not search results. from this we can conclude that our blog is still too young to be found on the search engines such as google. But still the various social networks provide traffic through our site. Last week we created the Climate Flash Mob in Copenhagen for Hopenhagen.org, Our video is on the internet and have by now more than 2300 hits in only 3 days. for this we can thank our network and the web 2.0 users that spreads the word about interesting things happening on a global scale. We got mentioned by the Green Energy Reporters , Eva from Belfast UkTobie from Denmark the municipality of Copenhagen , in the nation newspaper Politiken web section Ibyen By Jacob Klintrup and Søren Bo Steendahl. Then the Twitter community have been tweeting and linking to us, here is a screenshot of my TweetDeck application.

Today is the big “blog action day”. Our beloved flash mob video is out. It is on the internet now. For the world to see. For you to see. For you to enjoy.

The video is made for the campaign Hopenhagen described in the previous post and it is beautiful.
50 people sunbathing at Rådhuspladsen in Copenhagen the main square in Copenhagen even in Denmark.

It was a very very nice experience and everything worked out perfectly.

Thanks to our beloved volunteers and the brilliant camera crew we believe that this is not the only flash mob we will execute in Kadaver. In fact we believe that many more will come and many more will be as good as this one.

This is our daily ecstasy and drive, this is what we want to do and this is what we have to do.

Let the predefined be redefined with a twist of Kadaver and a bunch of beautiful people!

On October 9, more than 50 Copenhageners concerned about the climate sunbathed on Town Square in the name of Hopenhagen. The message was crystal clear: We hope for a new signed climate change policy in december in order to ensure the future of our planet.

When the whistle blew, the green and white towels were spread out and the clothes were dropped! The sudden happening came as some surprise to the many bystanders who stared in amazement as the 50-something people between 11 and 71 years of age apparently enjoyed lying on the square, naked in 9 degrees celsius.
The purpose of the happening was to emphasize the problems our planet is facing and to, hopefully, both send a message to the world leaders that we need a signed deal but also to the citizens around the world that they too need to take stand and that action is necessary. The world’s climate issues need to be approached with creative thinking and alternative means. According to the city and the people of Copenhagen that also applies to the way we communicate the message.

Due to the fact that Copenhagen is at the center of attention in relation to three large events in 2009, the city has launched a campaign under the name, Hopenhagen. The first of the three events was the World Outgames that took place during the end of the summer. A couple of weeks ago Copenhagen was then host to the IOC meeting where Rio de Janeiro was elected host city for the 2016 summer olympic games. Finally and most relevantly Copenhagen will host the Climate Conference, COP 15 – Copenhagen Climate in the end of November. As these events has and will bring a lot of international guest to Copenhagen the municipality has decided to launch the campaign, Hopenhagen to both prepare the city for the guest and inform the citizens of the events and what they are all about.

As the two first events has already taken place the main focus – and the focus for the rest of the year will be on the Climate Conference and to create focus on the climate changes that we are facing. As the name of the campaign, Hopenhagen, implies there is a focus to turn the city into a city of Hope. A city where all the frames are in place to make the world leaders join in an agreement that will address the climate changes.

We, Kadaver, has recently work along side the Hopenhagen campaign and executed a flash mob to create attention on both climate changes and the campaign as such.

So stay tuned for the documentation of the event.
