This is just amazing! I found this blog post on http://mashable.com/ and I must admit, that I just copy pasted the text. All credit to Mashable for the wording and links. This project is just so mindblowing! See for yourself!

Just when we had almost given up hope on Nokia, along comes “Gulp,” a promotional stop-motion animation that broke a world record as the largest ever created.

The video showcases the Nokia N8 smartphone‘s 12-megapixel camera, using its Carl Zeiss lens to great effect. Shooting this clever video with three of the smartphones mounted atop a 118-foot-high crane, the Sumo Science team at Aardman Animations (some of whom also work on the Wallace and Gromit animated series) have succeeded in putting together a true work of art.

It’s been confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records that the 11,000 square foot area used in the video makes this the world’s largest stop-motion animation.

Want to see how it was done? Here’s the “making of” video:

The other day we came by this marketing stunt made by Tesco in South Korea. It´s a very interesting way to address a challenge. We find it super inspiring and would love to do something similar in copenhagen. It´s simple and spot on which makes it that more powerful. Take a look at the video below and let os know what you think about this way of creating a virtual subway store.

Enjoy the summer!

In the past couple of years we have wondered whether or not it would be possible to reinvent the way that we define making donations. One of the reasons we have wondered is the fact that it seems like the way that people donate has not changed for the last decade – not remarkably anyway.

Recently Greenpeace launched a website to engage people in the creation of the new Rainbow Warrior – their flagship, so to speak… Their way of generating funds for the creation of the ship is a step in the right direction – but it can be taken even further to ensure loyal and engaged contributors.

Great work on the concept and design by DDB – France, Les 84 and Greenpeace

One year ago a group of people gathered around Stengade in Copenhagen to celebrate the birthday of now famous bus-driver, Mukhtar. So on this day, his birthday, we can congratulate him again and celebrate the fact that the youtube-film is about to reach the 3.000.000-click mark. Tomorrow it will also be decided whether the movie will go from Creative Circle-shortlisted to Creative Circle-winner.

Fingers crossed and Happy Birthday Mukhtar!

We got this great little video from Germany, trying to illustrate how the world would look like, if we had no artisans and craftsmen! I think the production is well made and the idea is good! It was uploaded in Jan. 2011, and so far it has 255 hits on youtube. It looks like the production is made for a TV/cinema campaign and not on a viral budget. However it is an interesting way to illustrate and inspire young people to apply for that specific type of education. Check it out, and let us know what you think about it!

Every now and again you stumble upon someone, who will inspire you! When working with Flash Mobs there are the obvious ones. The ones that everyone knows, has seen and refers to. Those are naturally The T-Mobile Dance and Frozen Grand Central Station and they are great! We believe that one person in particular has been overlooked although millions upon millions has seen his work. We have many times looked to french Remi Guillard for inspiration or just simply a laugh… The way Monsieur Guillard keeps reinventing the term flash mob and it’s usage is simply brilliant, so if you have not had the pleasure yet – check out some of his work below.

In this past fall Kadaver found itself in a fortunate role of being assigned to a task for the Danish Ministry of Food. Kadaver was chosen along side to other companies and in-house friends, bybird and Haus CPH. This constellation of three companies designed and shaped a campaign that was to address what the Danes wanted in terms of healthier, better and more appealing fast food and convenience products. Through recent years the usage of unhealthy fast food and convenience products has increased rapidly and the campaign was launched to find out whether or not there could be found alternative or new solutions that would make the healthier choice easier for the Danes to make.

The design of the campaign was created around well-known elements that would both created a sense of security to the target group, but it would also have a clear reference to the elements from the world of fast food and convenience products. This was done to secure that the focus of the campaign was in center and the target group would be willing to engage in dialogue around the campaign focus.

The result was a name “Mums – Hvad skulle det være?” (direct translation; Jummy – What will it be?) referring to two well-known terms within the Danish food universe.

The graphic design was inspired by both the environment around the american dinners and the Danish countryside homes.

The campaign that ran in a four week period contained viral elements such as a homepage (hurtigmums.dk), twitter-account, youtube-account and a facebookpage. Alongside these elements the campaign could be found on street-level via a national voxpop carried out by the campaign character Agent Mums, Go-Cards in cafés, headrestsleeves in the busses of Copenhagen and finally during a two week period in “The People’s Kitchen”, where the Danish consumers could taste and give feedback to different producers of Fast Food and Convenience products.

The conclusion of the campaign has been loads of feedback given by the target group, which will help form what future initiatives needs to be made in the future regarding fast food and convenience products.

For some time now we have been working together with 2100.nu who is an environmental project located at Østerbro, Cph, Denmark.
The project involves citizens and companies who jointly engage in order to reduce Co2 emissions by 10% before the 1st of May 2011.

Kadaver was asked to create a little movie for 2100.Nu. The movie is made to be shown in Park Bio at Østerbrogade, and is meant to create awareness around 2100.nu´ mission. Our task was to illustrate this without pointing an angry finger at people, but to inspire the public to visit www.2100.nu.

We created “Kvinden der levede i Mørke” – “The woman who chose to live in darkness”

The voice over is Danish.

I just stumbled upon a great example of what you can achieve if you decide to involve our target group. In general this concept is seen a lot in the business world, but this example is from the music world. This might even be what will help the music industry through it’s crisis – just a thought… Anyway Danish band Kashmir decided to involve their fans in the creation of their new music video by encouraging them shot a video containing their logo – they should then send the file to Kashmir who would then in turn pick the best contributions for their new video. Smart… It turned out that more than 200 videos was received. Thus creating a music video for the fans by the fans. That is one hell of a way of nursing fans and cutting costs in production.

I have attached a link to an interview posted on Politiken (it’s in danish): Press the image below to access the interview

I think the result speaks for itself. And I can only imagine the feeling of actually contributing to music video of ones favorite band. Enjoy it:

In general it seems that Kashmir are focusing on making their website a gathering point for all fans and interested people. Check it out – I think they might be on to something. kashmir.nu

We were so lucky to have Uffe Elbæk visiting the office today. An informal coffee invitation can take many directions and nobody knows where it will end before it is tried out. The “sharing spirit” that lives in Kadaver stems from our educational background and personal world views. By having the coffee with Uffe it was evident where the Kaospilot sharing spirit really stems from! Ideas, concepts and potential partners was shared during the coffee and again Network is a key word.

We are now very much looking forward reading the book that Uffe Elbæk just wrote, Ledelse på Kanten. There should be some relevant stories for us. Check out the book here: Ledelse på Kanten

Some months back we were on the verge on participating in the danish based competition to find the best possible way to communicate the online platform “Girl Talk”. The purpose of the site is to make it possible for danish girls to seek council from other and older girls on various topics that needs an ear that wants to listen.

Girl Talk was chosen to be the subject for the concept Reklame for Alvor (directly translated – commercials seriously). The concepts make it possible for companies to develop a campaign for the subject and the best bid wins the campaign which will be paid for by the organization behind Reklame for Alvor and their supporters. The final campaign has an estimated budget of around 3,5 million danish kroner.

Sadly we were to busy around the time of the deadlines for the bids, so we did not apply… But the winner has now been found and we have to say that if we had participated the competition would have been though. We believe that the winner, DDB Danmark, have managed to find a both relevant, easily accessible and simply great way to create attention around the site and the purpose. So hats off to the guys behind the winning bid.

The following months the campaign will be present around Denmark in nationwide posters, postcards and through tv-spots on national TV and MTV.

Below you will find examples of the campaign.

Haus Cph is a graphical design company based in Copenhagen. Mikkel Bock who is one of the graphical designers helped Kadaver with our web page for a long time ago. He has a great touch and a creative way of using different forms of visual art to create digital online solutions. The Other day I, Søren, took a lesson about updating and editing the webpage. It´s a great little thing to be able to edit the webpage “inhouse”, that also means that various updates has been made on the Project page and the Partner page.

Haus-Cph are currently working on their own web page. When it´s up running, you will be able to check it out here: www.haus-cph.dk

Kadaver had the pleasure last week to participate in a workshop facilitated by the Freemium master Peter Froberg. Peter used a business plan development model, developed by Alexander Osterwalder to teach from. The work had two main focus areas, firstly to investigate what business model Kadaver is working out from and how it can improve. The second focus was to help Peter develop his approach to teach based on the model.
When the day ended we had been through a lot of brainstorming, developing, idea generating, business talks, discussions, frustrations and clarity!

The template that Peter was teaching from took care of areas as; what the company is offering, how we connect with our partners and costumer segments, our distribution channels, the income and cash flow, our resources, various activities and expenses. The template has a visual touch that makes it obvious use many of the brainstorming tools that Kadaver are familiar with from the Kaospilot education.

In the evaluation of the day, we could conclude that Peters skills in teaching about business models are of high quality! He is very good to give examples of how different companies are already using various business models and by doing that inspire to create further development of our own business.

In the establishment of Kadaver we have been pretty inspired from the tools that Start Up Company are teaching from. David Madié are using what he calls the Start Up Wheel, and with that in mind, the Alexander Osterwalder model was a very good inspiration.

It will be a model to return to here at the office, in order to see what areas we need to focus on in the future.

Here are photos of Peter teaching at Solitudevej 1.  – thank you!
