Better Place is a new addition to the Kadaver project portfolio. As a launch of this new collaboration we have been engaged in creating awareness by guiding the electric cars through the streets of Copenhagen. You could therefore see three electric cars (Renault Fluence Z.E.) around Copenhagen this past weekend, among other places at Islands Brygge, Amager Strandpark and Bellevue. Next weekend (July 17) you will be able to meet the cars at Rådhuspladsen from 10 am to 1 pm. See you there.

In the past couple of years we have wondered whether or not it would be possible to reinvent the way that we define making donations. One of the reasons we have wondered is the fact that it seems like the way that people donate has not changed for the last decade – not remarkably anyway.

Recently Greenpeace launched a website to engage people in the creation of the new Rainbow Warrior – their flagship, so to speak… Their way of generating funds for the creation of the ship is a step in the right direction – but it can be taken even further to ensure loyal and engaged contributors.

Great work on the concept and design by DDB – France, Les 84 and Greenpeace

Kadaver have helped the organisation Green Kids from RandersgadeSkole to develop and produce a small video. The assignment was to help and support the Green Kids to create a flashmob video with a message concerning the environment. Through co-operative brainstorms with the Green Kids the idea and concept was created. The result is now out and you can see the video here on our blog, or at: www.green-kids.dk

For some time now we have been working together with 2100.nu who is an environmental project located at Østerbro, Cph, Denmark.
The project involves citizens and companies who jointly engage in order to reduce Co2 emissions by 10% before the 1st of May 2011.

Kadaver was asked to create a little movie for 2100.Nu. The movie is made to be shown in Park Bio at Østerbrogade, and is meant to create awareness around 2100.nu´ mission. Our task was to illustrate this without pointing an angry finger at people, but to inspire the public to visit www.2100.nu.

We created “Kvinden der levede i Mørke” – “The woman who chose to live in darkness”

The voice over is Danish.

Back in the cold October breeze, 52 brave citizens of Copenhagen made a FlashMob for signing the Hopenhagen petition. Today when I was searching around the web I came by photos with Hopenhagen and the greenwashing of Coca Cola. These banners are hanging around the town and bringing attention to the big Hopenhagen live event that are ongoing at the same square where the Sunbathers was doing their stunt. When I went on youtube to see the sunbathing video I discovered a new flashmob from Syracuse in New York. It is a true copy and it´s great! bringing awareness to the main issue! – COP15 the meeting in Copenhagen and the importance of having a global agreement.

Here are the two videos!

As most people know by now, Copenhagen will host the climate meeting Cop15 in December.
It has been around for a while and the time is closing in! – will Obama join? will the different politicians take any decisions? Will the African nations be heard? Will Nepenthes save the threes and WWF save the pandas or polar bears?
The questions are many and only time will tell. Or what?

The other day I watched a board discussion hosting: Knud Pedersen, Vice president at Dong Energi, among others. He presented Dong´s strategy to become a more CO2 neutral company. During the next 30 years the will shift the figures from: 15% CO2 neutral energy and 85% Goal driven energy – to 85% CO2 neutral energy and 15% energy containing CO2 emissions. This is a pretty hardcore strategy to become a Co2 friendly company. If the companies are ready to deal with the climate issue, and the politicians are too, then why are we talking about the fact that there might not happen anything during Cop15? if it all is just one big scam and get-together, then why even bother having it? What is the energy concumtion of hosting that meeting gonna cost compared to how much it will safe?

There are many things that I am curious to see in December!
Kadaver have been in contact with a broad perspective of people dealing with small events, happenings, campaigns, conferences, exhibitions etc. A lot of things are going to go down at the same time, and most of it is extremely interesting.
Then there is also the whole aspect of all the travelers coming to Copenhagen to stay during Cop15. The hotels has been booked for quite a while now and great initiatives like: New Life Copenhagen has been established in order to host people from a grassroots level too. the Couchsurfing network is heated and a broad specter of activists are preparing for December.

The Demonstration on December 12th, is estimated to have approximately 60.000 participant! All yelling for climate change! If you know of any great initiatives thats gonna happen, then feel free to drop a comment or an email. Then we will post it here on the blog for others to see and participate.

I am exited like if it was christmas…

Going green is a popular trend in these days. Specially in Copenhagen now the COP15 is running close. Kadaver has for the past been known for having a good and healthy traditionally lunch. Danish “rugbrød” with various of meet layers and of course a lot of topping!
To day we tried to join the wave of the “green”. A fresh salad for lunch was our introduction to the more “green minded living”. I even snapped a photo of it before eating it. It was a delightful dish and I must say that I enjoyed it. – even though I am not proud to say so.. it have been a brand for specially Johannes and I to eat Rugbrød and Leverpostej for lunch during our time at the Kaospilot. Changing a brand is always a hard one! We managed today, and now the interesting aspect is to see if we can keep it.
I always get so fascinated when shopping food, there are so many possibilities to choose between. And so much I don´t choose! And that makes me wonder what you are having for lunch these days?

Enjoy your day! and enjoy your lunch!
