Johannes and Søren from kadaver have been working the last two months in Shanghai for the Nordic Council of Minsters on a project called The Creative North. The assignment was to show how Nordic countries are using creativity and user driven innovation when developing welfare products, services and/or technologies. This should be shown in a renovated old ware house in shanghai called The Nordic Light House. Through a long time of research, different Nordic companies and student projects was chosen to participate. The exhibitors should represent their process from discovering the “need” to representing the product. The exhibition we created was based on huge cones which was back lit. (previously we wrote about creating the prototype) Having the back lit cones created a great feeling next to the cold walls in the building and shaped a landscape of small glowing light houses. As you can see on the picture here, compared with the design layout posted earlier, we really managed to create the aesthetic visual experience of walking into the room. Now when it´s all done and we are back in Copenhagen we think back on a beautiful exhibition which gave inspiration and insight on the Nordic welfare model.
